BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER STAYED!! Loeki was the most incredible hostess at this beautiful bed and breakfast. She thinks of every 5 star detail from mint water in the refrigerator to making the most delicious breakfasts including cappuccinos or hot herbal teas, fruit smoothies, delicious pancakes, french toast, omelettes, fresh delicious fruit breads, yogurt bowls with granola, and fresh fruit. Every breakfast was not only healthy abut also most generous in portion size. We skipped eating lunch most days and we'd just eat dinner. Loeki helped us plan our daily schedules with great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The grounds are gorgeous and our Red Cottage was even better than expected. Loeki connected us with someone to transport us to and from the airport and rented us an electric car for close trips and a gas car if we were going farther. She made everything simple and hassle free. There was no rush to check out at a certain time and we left feeling like we had a new family member in her. I loved that we could walk to the saltpans with the owner's two dogs and see the flamingos. There was a wonderful pool on the property AND the red cottage that we stayed in also had a pool. Why stay at a resort with a hundred other people when you can stay at an intimate bread and breakfast with only a few others! It was a fantastic trip and we can't wait to visit again! Spectacular stay! Loeki is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. This is more of a B&B experience. Grounds are impeccable and room was clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the double room on the main floor. Room was on the small side, even for a couple, so next time I would stay on the second floor. There’s a bit more privacy on the second floor as well. There’s a communal fridge and kitchen which you are welcome to use. Coffee, homemade artisan teas, and cold water(fruit infused or plain) is available at any time. The house dogs are well behaved and a joy to be around - you need to be comfortable with animals. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Loeki was easily able to accommodate a gluten- free diet. You’re a short 7 min drive from Jam Thiel beach and many others within 15 min. Close to Willemstad but still in nature, right next to the salt pans - beautiful trails you can easily access from the property. I cannot say enough great things about Plantation Jan Thiel! It’s important to note that it’s a country chic place so go with that expectation. We loved it and hope to return again soon!

The hostess was amazing, she is attentive a great conversationalist and exceptional cook! I don’t know how she does it all! The atmosphere, views and variety of commons spaces for where to choose where to relax is great. The resident fur babies (dogs) add a comforting presence as well. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely amazing stay at Plantation Jan Thiel lodge. The lodge has so much character and is located in a beautiful setting. If I could give a Michelin star to Loeki, I would — the breakfasts were out of this world made with fresh local Ingredients and or so flavourful and healthy. All the staff were courteous and very nice.

The manager Loeki, was fantastic! Like visiting your favorite relative. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The setting is very comfortable and relaxing. Close to the salt flats and flamingos which made a great easy walk. This is a gated facility ensuring privacy of the guests. Would highly recommend!

O quarto é limpo e espaçoso, eles deixam todo dia uma água aromatizada naturalmente ao lado da cama, o que eu achei um toque super especial e uma delícia. A Loeki e os funcionários sao muito simpáticos e solícitos. Fazem um café da manhã saudável e muito gostoso, bem farto. O casarão é lindo e o jardim e a piscina também são muito agradáveis com vistas lindas, perfeito para quem quer descanso e paz. Eles também tem um acesso por uma pequena trilha à praia que passa pelas lagoas de sal que tem vistas incríveis. Uma caminhada muito agradável. Eu amei me hospedar aqui. Voltaria com certeza!

Echt een absolute top plek! Gelijk al super gast vrij ontvangen in de avond. Locatie en kamer zelf ook ronduit prachtig, schoon en netjes. Iedere ochtend heerlijk ontbijt, alles zelf gemaakt en dat proef je! Onze vakantie had niet beter kunnen beginnen.

Fantastic and can’t wait to go back. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The entire property is unique and a little paradise on paradise. We liked watching the sunset from the main house patio area. We stayed in the little cottage we’re so comfortable and loved the private pool and outdoor shower. We liked talking with the other guests from all over the world over breakfast and sharing island experiences. It is a very peaceful and quiet place with house animals as an extra bonus.
