「Booked a room with 2 queen sized beds. Got a room with one king size bed. Couldn’t get another correct room because they were fully booked even though I paid for the room weeks ago. Brought up a rollaway bed instead. Staff said “because it was booked through Expedia they had no control over what type of room we could have.” Had to kick in the door to enter since it was so misaligned and sticky. Room next to us had the same issue. Almost couldn’t get out of the room because the door jams up. Oh...

「All vending machines out of order, no elevator to reach second floor. Had to carry luggage up stairs. Don’t think they have a pool, if they do, I wasn’t told where it was. The online pictures are not what it actually is. Sorta reminds me of a rent by the hour motel you see in the movies. Won’t be going back there again.」

「Had the kind bed room with sleeper sofa! Didn’t have any bed sheets or pillows for the sleeper sofa. Went downstairs to all for blankets and pillows and was told he would have to find some. Eventually he brought us blankets but said there were no pillows. The hotel was not very clean and kind of smelled musty! Breakfast was decent.」

When we went inside to check in the lady at the desk said "can i help you?" I let her know I had a reservation and she rolled her eyes and sat down. 「Our room was ready and clean. Staff provided extra towels for us. The disappointment was that although we were told breakfast was available starting at 6:30 am, there was nothing other than overnight coffee available at 7 am. Using the phone for contact in the common area meant the phone rang multiple times without anyone answering it.」

「We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.」

「Check in was easy, although no elevator to the 2nd floor which.may sound petty but can be many trips back and forth to your car. The room was clean, bed comfortable. The only complaint is the water pressure in the shower was low.. Coffee was good, breakfast ok, nothing spectacular.」

「Coffee was horrible, one day no coffee at 7:45am, eggs were cold, staff was rude. Tiles in bathroom were loose. Old building not well maintained. We have to go to Chisago a couple more times and will definitely get hotel closer to MinneapolisWould rather drive 45 minutes than stay there again.」
