"The pool area was a bit run down. Need new cushions and a bit of repair work....the restaurant/bar was closed. The gym was really not good. Machines did not work and many of the weights were missing."

"Parking was fine… got to room and checked in at 4.. was told by guest before us to check the room really good… got a room on first floor, looked over everything and seemed fine, left for dinner and to see how to get to port, got back to room after dark…. Roaches were out and active… NOPE… luckily found a room on 4th floor that was clean clean… but never again… staff was really good about getting us a room after I viewed it, but roaches is a NO GO for me"

"The room very disgusting no toilet paper I requested some in the lobby they will bring it and never did I ahd to go to Walgreens to buy toilet paper, checked out the day before and booked another hotel I couldn’t take it it was not safe a lot of weird people around the halls and lobby, the elevator broken the pool was close and the walls in the room broken the door from the bathroom damage Mold everywhere the bathroom was filthy the ace broken and the door lock didn’t work I had to look on top to feel safe. The fridge was horrible with damage and old fade with mold "

"The hotel was very nice. My wife and I both enjoyed it. What made this visit very special was Miguel, the front desk manager when I arrived. He was both professional and warm, and was able to accommodate some needs that I had. When I return to Aventura on another trip, I will stay at the Serena and it will bevery largely due to my "loyalty" to Miguel "
