"Our stay at Hotel Gibbs was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The location is unbeatable — just steps away from the River Walk and many of San Antonio’s main attractions, which made exploring the city incredibly easy and convenient. The hotel itself has so much character, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The rooms were clean, stylish, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The beds were especially cozy, and we appreciated how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere was after a busy day sightseeing. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with recommendations or anything we needed during our stay. Customer service like this really stands out. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast — a great variety of options and a perfect way to start the day before heading out. Overall, Hotel Gibbs exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable hotel in a prime downtown location with excellent service, this is definitely the place to stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Antonio!"

"The staff was excellent super nice . The rooms were clean and smelled good . I loved the area I was in . It felt super safe and 3 mins walk to the Alamo and 7 mins to river walk . It’s around a lot f stores and food places . We have stayed here twice and will continue too. We recommend it always . "

"Nice location and nice rooms. The lobby smells amazing so I was hopeful that the lotion and shampoo/conditioner would as well. Not so much. The lotion smelled old so that was disappointing. Otherwise, we had a good stay and would recommend. "

"The maid staff was totally unresponsive. Left a message for wash rags (only had one for 2 night stay of two people) and no one bothered to respond. The bed cover sheet was so thin it was like paper. The management must really be trying to cut corners. There was also no concierge at the Desk, even though it was Spring Break and the hotel was packed."

"Unfortunately ALL the trash containers were extremely full. Thurs-Monday. ☹️ Sould have been emptied sometime in those 5 days. Towels were changed out, the pool/sauna area were clean. Enjoyable -"
