The hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk initially gave us a smaller room and didn’t let me know. She tried to pull it off like I made a reservation for the smaller room and just gave us a roll away bed. This would have provided sleeping options for 3 people when we had four. When I called registration, they service agent was very helpful and informed me that they had oversold the room I had requested, and said that they front desk should have upgraded me to a bigger room. The service agent then gave us a nice upgrade which made the stay much better. It was a little disappointing that the front desk tried to squeeze 4 people into a 2 person room at the start. I think it is a matter of be aware of your environment in New York to make sure someone is not hustling you or trying to pull one over on you.
The gym was not functional and was under renovations.
Other than these issue at the start, the rest of the stay was great.
There were several great dining and shopping options since the hotel was situated in the midtown with just blocks away from Central Park, Times Square, 5th Avenue, and Rockefeller Center. The location was great.
