Would stay again. Reasonably priced in an interesting area of the city. Subway station within reasonable walking distance. Just wish the cabins were a little bit bigger and lighting felt too dark at times. All in all a good experience and would recommend to solo travellers for sure

The bed was super comfortable and I felt very safe there. My only complaint was that the walls are thin and there is no ceiling in the cabin, which I believe is due to air flow, so you can hear others easily. Luckily, my fellow travelers were quiet. The bathroom and shower was always clean and the water was hot. If I were to travel solo, I would visit again.

Perfect location for those traveling solo and spending most of their time out and about. I was able to book the bigger room, “Now or Never”, and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. Also, the room I booked was directly across from the showers/toilets/sinks which I found convenient. No elevator, so be prepared to get your leg workout in lol. Wish there was more of a community vibe like other hostels that have a proper common room/area where you can post notes and meet other travelers. Other than that, I would definitely book again for a short weekend trip!

Offered exactly what I needed — safe, quiet, and clean accommodations as a solo female traveler. Staff were so kind and welcoming. Cute add ons to make stay better. Definitely recommend.

The only factor that I was interested in is the price. This is a upscale hostel so a good sleep is very difficult to have. I would recommend that someone staying should want to be below the fourth floor and if staying in the summer have a cabin near the a/c. Besides that a fun and walkable area.

Overall the place is nice, it’s clean, picturesque and staff are nice. I would recommend this place for a short visit or for anyone that is a heavy sleeper. The only problem I had here was people being inconsiderate with the others. I understand it’s NYC but if you are returning to your room at 2am, please don’t make so much noise, specifically DO NOT slam the door!! It will close and lock even if you do it slow and softly. Also if you are from another country and dealing with the time change, don’t turn on lights at 4am and start eating, opening your suitcase and doing a lot of noise when others are trying to sleep or do not set up an alarm for 6am and it’s 7:30 and you still snoozing it. This is annoying! With this being said, the place itself it’s good. The people are the ones who make it not so enjoyable.

This isn’t a hotel for everybody- if you’re good with sharing a bathroom and having an open ceiling, then definitely consider staying here. Now Now was as advertised: sort of like an upscale hostel in terms of sleeping and bathroom arrangements. The room was bigger than I expected and well laid out. I had plenty of space for myself. The passageways for the rooms reminded me of being on a train with sleeping compartments - long and quite narrow. I was pleasantly surprised to find a white noise machine in the room, which I appreciated. I stayed on a women’s floor and everyone there respected the hotel rules about not having anyone else in the room and not having phone calls, which kept the ambiance calm and quiet. The bathroom facilities were generally good, except that the foyer to the shower tended to get very wet due to how the shower is laid out, so it was a bit tricky navigating that. They provide you with slippers but I’d recommend bringing a pair of shower flip flops if you can fit them. It would have been nice if there was more than one toilet and shower on our wing, but there was only one time I had to wait a little for shower availability so it wasn’t an issue. There’s also a floor that has more bathrooms if you need quicker access. The quality of the bed linens, towels, and robes were great. The location of the hotel is perfect. Steps from good places to grab coffee, food, subway, etc. The hotel staff were friendly as well. I’d stay there again if traveling solo!

Very clean and accessible. It was a shame that at 5:15 a.m. on my first night, water started falling on my head while I was sleeping. The nightstand next to the bed, as well as my phone, were incredibly wet. I went down to reception to discuss it, and the receptionist told me that an engineer would be here at 7:15, without offering any apology or solution. I had to tell her I had to change rooms because it didn't seem right to stay there with water dripping from the ceiling. She agreed, but she wasn't very happy. The new room, 206, also occasionally dripped a few drops of water on my head, but I didn't want to complain, so I slept with my head at the foot of the bed for the rest of the day. I would have liked a better attitude towards what happened, but that wasn't the case. I wouldn't go back because of it, which is a shame. Since then, my phone won't charge because it got wet, and I'll have to replace it,a Samsung 24 Plus, which wasn't cheap at all.

If you’re looking for a “cozy” hostel-ish place to crash for a night or two and don’t have a ton of luggage, this is the spot for you. Just a heads up, there are no elevators, so you might have to drag your heavy bags up and down the floors. The staff was super friendly and helpful. One thing to keep in mind is that the key access app doesn’t always work, so make sure to ask for a physical key card. If you’re looking for a proper hotel room this may not be the place for you. Moreover, I’d only book this place if the price is significantly cheaper than the hotels. Overall, it’s a good stay if you know what you’re getting into.

It has a very good location for getting in and out of the subway. There are many subway options nearby. It’s quite affordable if your plan is just to find a place to sleep and you’re traveling alone. The bathrooms and showers are shared, but they were decent. The only issue is the noise from the room doors — they make noise all night. Everyone has to use force to close them, which creates a lot of noise, especially at night. You can also hear the noise from other guests. People don’t seem to respect that others are sleeping, and the noise travels through the whole place. But if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and spend the day out exploring New York, it’s a good option. I wouldn’t recommend staying in during the day, though — the room is very small, but cozy.

This is a hostile not a hotel so you need to keep that in mind when renting here. This is not for the fussy. This is for those who want to save big on hotel fees yet be close to it all. Sleeping quarters are very small, but clean and bed is comfortable. Communal shower and bath are cleaned once a day by maids. Noise level is not too loud, but you can hear your neighbors on occasion. However, another hostile I stayed at a block away was much noisier and not as well run. Again this is a hostel, not a hotel. You have to accept some rough edges to obtain the exceptional savings. If you are OK with this, this is the place for you in NYC,
