「Had a great stay overall. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. The room was spotless, cozy, and provided a very comfortable night’s rest. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, though the dining area can get quite busy during peak morning hours. Would gladly stay here again!」

「The room is Comfortable and spacious」

「friendly and helpful staff, price is low compared to the space of room , especially the parking fee is very low compare with the hotel at this area.」

「Great value for money. 3 rooms on 2nd floor and 1st floor is common area with toliet, shower, kitchen, refrigerator. Traditional Japanese style room. Room is simple with matress, small ground table, A/C. Not much soundproof. No elevator & need to use stiff stairs. Host seems living in 1st floor. Use key to open/close room. Place is located on the side of small car road, not inside. Search '清舎' on google map.」

「1st, this is an old and poorly maintained house without the old house charm. 2nd, please add a "Can Not accept any guest older than 55 years old. Another hostel a few house down was only US$26 instead of $52. 6th, the hostel does not allow any cancellation. 7th, the...

「This was absolutely one of the best stays I’ve ever had in Japan or any place else! The mom and daughter duo who run it are so sweet, helpful and genuine, the room was terrific, and breakfast delicious. The location is right where you want to be, within walking distance of lots of Nara sights and great food. I STRONGLY recommend staying at Matsumae Ryokan if at all possible.」
