"The hotel was the least “commercial” of the places we stayed in our 11-day trip to Japan. It was smaller and a little more quaint. We appreciated the little bags with the hotel name on them into which we could put selected amenities. The hotel’s location was wonderful— just steps from the Nara Park, as well as lots of little shops and eateries. Staff were polite and helpful.
The Onsen wasn’t our thing— I had used them as a college student and am too self- conscious (and traveling with a 13 year old daughter). Our shower only stayed on for increments of about 30 seconds, which seemed odd… I thought it might be a water-saving measure but would have liked to understand it better. Otherwise, I can’t complain. We had a wonderful (albeit short) visit to Nara! The hotel is cute, location is great, and staff are helpful !"
