"It was a great experience staying in a traditional Japanese home and the hostess , Adachi san was lovely and welcoming and she spoke good English which was really helpful.
We chose the Japanese breakfast option and it was delicious especially the Agedashi tofu which was one of the best we've had !
The only reason we have not given it 5 stars is because the property was in a residential area and the street it was on was particularly narrow so the taxi was not able to drive right up to the door...

"Super friendly staff, in a magical place in the deer park surrounded by nature, some great little shops, shrines, and animals. Nara was the absolute highlight of my trip to Japan and this Inn was a dream to stay at. We loved our time here. "

"We have booked a triple room with private terrace. To start with positives, it is located conveniently to trains and buses. There were a lot of dining options with good prices, as it is located next to university. The staff was nice and welcoming. It meatched the description in terms of amenities.
On the other hand, with the room itself we were not happy at all. The bathroom was built in to the room, meaning it was quite small and there was a big enough gap between the door and the floor, which...

"Absolutely wonderful inn to stay at (Ryokan), and our favorite stay of a two week Japan trip. It felt like an authentic Japanese experience, while still being very accessible to foreigners like us.
The owners are very friendly and attentive right from when you arrive. The rooms are a traditional style with tatami floors. The rooms look out over a small creek so it is very peaceful. They will set up the futon beds for you in the evening. I have a bad back so was a little worried about the...

"It states "Hotel" through Expedia but it is more like authentic vacation home. Great for two people, heating was spotty, great Tea room and smoke area in back patio.
Very close to Inari Shrines and JR station lines and a 3min walk from a grocery store. "

"We had a wonderful stay in this historic inn, a beautiful property and convenient location for exploring Amagasaki, Osaka, and Kobe. We will be coming back! "

"I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great...

"the inn was an amazing way to add a quiet authenticity to our visit to kyoto. so peaceful. the architecture and artifacts of the building’s history continued to amaze over our 4 night stay. Ms Tano’s breakfast was one of the best meals of our trip!"

"Good and comfortable beds. Clean. Located in a quiet and charming neighbourhood. Okay location, close to two bus stops. There is a washing machine there, free to use, but it broke down when we tried to use it. It was a big inconvenience for us, and we did not receive any help when we asked for it"

"The staff are pleasant and helpful. I like all their food for breakfast. When I arrive earlier than expected there is a locker in the basement you can store your luggage.
The location is close to stores, supermarket, Daiso and walkable to Namba station, Dontonbori and Ocat. I is a busy area. There is also a Lawson store close by."
"Such a beautiful hotel, spacious room with lovely seating to capture the view. Onsen was very nice, great views and good facilities. Lounge was a good spot to have a drink. Reception on 17th floor. Great location in central Osaka. "
"Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend
Recently stayed here and had an excellent experience. I must say the hotel and staff were amazing. We arrived around 11pm due to a delayed flight and lengthy train ride. The hotel was extremely clean. The front desk lady was able to help me figure out how to get to Sumoto on Awaji Island, which made the day trip much easier. The view from the hotel room was very nice as well. Hotel is well situated with the subway below the hotel as well as having a grocery store in the basement which was extremely convenient. We were also about a 10-15 minute walk from where most of the tour buses meet up as well, an added bonus. Room was on the small side but it wasn’t a big issue as we were out and about most of the time. I have friends going to Japan in February and I’ll be highly recommending this hotel to them. When I return to Japan I will definitely be staying at this hotel.

"Hotel is located right above the Kitahama metro station, so it's very convenient for travel down to Dotonburi and it's linked lines. My room was very clean and the soundproofing must be great, because I'm a light sleeper and I heard no noise on either night I stayed here."
"The breakfast area messed up on our count, we went back to the front desk to explained the situation, the manager who passed by overheard the conversation and walked us down to the breakfast area to walk us in. Love the location, staff, breakfast variety. We stayed for 4 nights and missed breakfast 2 days. If we knew from the start how great their breakfast was, we would have not missed it. I got to make my own ramen, iced matcha latte, and they even have a Takoyaki station. "
