This was absolutely one of the best stays I’ve ever had in Japan or any place else! The mom and daughter duo who run it are so sweet, helpful and genuine, the room was terrific, and breakfast delicious. The location is right where you want to be, within walking distance of lots of Nara sights and great food. I STRONGLY recommend staying at Matsumae Ryokan if at all possible.
