"The rooms can be a bit small and odd format (toilet on one end, sink and shower on the other end of the room). However everything else makes up for it. Friendly staff, great breakfast, available parking for ¥500 or ¥600 a day. Great views of Fuji from the room. Right next door to the train station making it convenient if you’re coming by rail. Old school key for doors - could use an upgrade! :)"

"An idyllic classic space with tatami mat floors and traditional layout rooms with modern effects. This place was amazing and made up for our short stay where it was cloudy the entire time so we didn’t see Mt Fujis peak. Walkable to the World Heritage site museum and was the beautiful ending to our vacation. Away from the cities, it was a quaint and ultra clean space. The a/c saved us in the hot and humid summer. "This ryokan is beautiful and set in a gorgeous area of kakurinbo. It was a trek to get to on foot but it is on Mt. Minobu. A beautiful walk during the day and so much to see. The staff was so helpful with everything and the kaiseki meal is a must experience. "

"Nestled up on the way to Mt Minobu, it's close to Kuonji Temple and the Ropeway, which you can reach on foot (though there is a bit of an incline.) The hosts were friendly and the room was exceptionally modern whilst set in a more traditional guesthouse building. Meals were also a highlight as they were well balanced and delicious. "

"Our stay was great. The staff was great. It was raining but we still had a great time. The room felt huge and was comfortable with heat and air. The curtains worked great. It's great to have an entire grill area to yourself. Just bring some food to grill. There's a small market within walking distance (.5mile) that has things like deer sausage and veggies.
