「First trip to the Keys for our family. We loved the three bedroom townhouse we stayed in with our two teenagers. There is essentially nothing else on the resort so plan accordingly. 「What a great stay we had! Our first time in the keys and it was fantastic! We booked 2 nights initially but after spending time at the tiki bar with Jeff while waiting for our room and watching the kite surfers, we booked a 3rd night. The front desk staff was very accommodating and kind and Joe the tiki bar bartender made great tropical drinks and played incredible music. We are already plotting our next vacation here!」

「The room was very clean and comfortable. The property is right on the beach with a great view. The property does seem to need some TLC. For instance, I reported that the door had to be slammed multiple times for the latch to catch (so anyone couldn't just enter the room). Also the thermostat needs to be replaced since it was nearly impossible to get to the screen needed to adjust the temp. I reported this 2x and both people at the desk did not seem to be too attentive to actually reporting it...

「I liked the place — it was very clean, and the pool was nice. There’s no area for kids, though. The king bed upstairs with a water view was perfect. Unfortunately, the sofa bed smelled strongly of marijuana, so we all had to sleep in one bed and barely got any rest. The smell and the pillow were disgusting. We also left a cooler behind, called the hotel, and were told they’d call us back — but no one ever did. Overall, I don’t think I’d return. It’s just too expensive for what they offer.」

「Pines and Palms is a beautiful small resort that has been newly renovated. We stayed in the Queen cottage (#8) that is ADA compliant though we did not need these accommodations. There space is very clean, minimalistic and has everything you need. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator. They provide coffee pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels and dishwasher soap.
