It just looks nothing like the pictures. You come in off a busy highway to a 1950’s motel that has been nicely updated, rooms and bathrooms small but modernized, looking out of the patio doors into lawn and pool. Nice, but not what the pictures say. Busy highway doesn’t keep you awake. Complementary bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards. It is expensive, but cheap for the Florida Keys. I guess it was a deal. Not 4-5 star though.

The hotel room was small but had everything we needed on a budget. We had to figure out the A/C as it kept reverting to energy saver which would have been fine but it came on and off every couple minutes all night the first night.

La chambre est en bon état, propre et spacieuse, la literie confortable et la télé très grande. Par contre grande déception car les photos ne reflètent pas toute la réalité. Une bonne partie des chambres sont au bord de la Highway qui est extrêmement bruyante. Aucune vue si ce n’est la route pour les chambres 100. Les fenêtres ne sont pas du tout isolantes, pour le prix cela mériterait largement le confort d’un triple vitrage ! Prix exorbitant pour avoir l’impression d’avoir dormi dans un simple motel.

If you are specifically looking for a convenient no-frills family stop in Marathon on the main drag and are able to secure a reasonable rate with the property DIRECTLY, perhaps this will be a good choice.? In my experience; the room was hugely overpriced; the website photos very misleading, and my reservation was botched, so I personally would never stay there again. I will say that in the end, manager Jocelyn went out of her way to try and help soften the blow, and I appreciated that. I would have booked direct had I been able to reach anyone at the property, which I tried for weeks to do but the calls never went through. Again: The photos look much better than the rooms or property does in person. This place needs some TLC. Old can still be lovely!

Check in was late. Staff was rude. The front desk lady had an argument with someone ahead of us. Yelled Jesus Christ and then told me she didn’t have a room key. She disappeared and then found the key. Our “deluxe king” room was terrible. Feet from the highway and super loud fast traffic all night. There were black bugs in the bathroom And the couch was stained. The pictures on Expedia are very misleading. I’d never recommend anyone stay here

The rooms in front are directly on the highway.these are extremely noisy and very dated and old. Water pressure was poor and hot water was scarce. Hotel staff was very accommodating however and when we expressed our complaints, we were switched to another room which was in back and quieter. Overall a mediocre stay and would not come back here.

room was clean bed was comfy but the nose level in this place was very loud into the early morning hours. There was not a safe in the room which really surprised us. the dead bolt on the door did not lock so a good jerk would let someone break in. On a brighter note we did see 3 manatees in the canal at the back side of property. We would probably not stay here again

Very nice. Clean room. Was by the canal. We saw a few manatees in the canal. We also had chicken by our back patio in the late afternoon and they came back to visit in the morning which was cool. 😊 🐓 The lady at the front desk was nice. They had coffee, tea, and hot cocoa in the front entrance which was nice since it was cold when we were there. If I stayed again I would recommend a room on the canal. We were by the road but it was fine since we could walk over there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Coconut Cay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. A big highlight was having kayaks and fishing poles available to use—it made it easy to relax and enjoy the water without having to plan anything extra. Would definitely stay here again!

It's hard to find. There's no proper signboard at the property. The pillows were very thick. The bathroom is congested but clean. Room and bed were nice and clean.
