「**Disappointing anniversary stay** We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms. Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room. 「Overpriced. Had a huge bedroom that was, on the whole, pretty clean. Had an issue with grime in the sink. Staff didn't seem to care or offer anything in goodwill. Breakfast was average. Views very pretty. Free parking - a bonus.」

There was dirt and stains in the room walls, the cleanliness of the sheets was questionable, the bathroom walls were dirty, the tub caulking was poorly done and very grimy, the floor tile grout was dirty/stained around the tub, the bed creaked with the slightest movement, the provided glasses were covered in fingerprints, and the tea kettle had not been cleaned in some...

「The staff were wonderful, the food was excellent and the amenities were good quality. I have stayed here a few times with work and the general location is lovely, with a very village relaxed vibe. The outdoor space in the summer months is beautiful.」
