"Staff were excellent. Location for sunset can’t be beat. Room was not cleaned very well. Floors dirty, previous guest food under furniture and garbage behind furniture. Beds were tiny. Air conditioning loud and you can hear it dripping in the night. Not worth the price. Stay somewhere else. "

"My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this place more! After doing a painful amount of research, it was difficult to decide between this resort and a few other ones we found, but I am so glad we went with The Islander. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is lovely, and the setup of the resort is all you could hope for! We truly forgot we were still in the U.S. and not on a tropical island. We also lucked out with our room location, being right near the pool, so we didn’t have to get out there early to “reserve” chairs, didn’t have to go far to use the bathroom, etc. It’s a family-friendly resort, but it’s not like it’s impossible for adults without children to relax. I’d recommend The Islander to anyone looking to stay in Islamorada."

"Front desk failed to load door keys twice, had to go back to get them re-programmed twice. Shower was cold water and no one showed how to use or would come to address. Bad communication at hotel. "

"Beaches in Key Largo have more coral than your average beach, so bring water shoes to protect your feet if you plan on going into the ocean much. Also, the resort office does not offer loans or rentals of much of anything, so you'll want to bring your own toys/equipment. They have a tennis court and a pickle ball court, but no rackets or paddles, so bring your own if that's of interest. Same is true of masks, snorkels and fins. If you're wanting any, bring your own! And finally, water toys like pool noodles and floaties. Bring your own!"

"Lower cost option. No beaches near by. Main door didn't fully close, bathroom window had hole to outside. It was better than sleeping in a car..."

"Wonderful property over all. Clean, comfy beds, pool area was fantastic. Over all good time. Just a minor run in with the tiki bartender over asking how the food ordering process worked. For that she yelled at me telling me how busy she was. I was asking for clarification. Told her I could just go elsewhere to order food. She was quite off putting and rude. "
