I would definitely stay again but I would take a few needed items with me! My husband and I went to Florida for a business trip on July 4th weekend and were there for two nights. A great vacation spot or a beautiful private place for a gathering or small wedding. (I will say, minor repairs were needed that could bother some people.) The docks are wonderful for sunset pictures. The pool and sauna looked great (we didn’t have time to utilize them though.) We loved the gated entrance, two docks and (small) private beach, beautiful views of the bay, and the secluded setting of the resort. Check in was a bit confusing and ONLY 4 hours to check in!! The room we had was clean and spacious (though out of date and in need of some repairs in areas but not an issue for us.) The bed was comfortable enough but had tall firm pillows (I had my own. yay). The a/c was cold during the day but we got a bit hot at night (more on why) It had a wine fridge, fridge, and K-cup coffee maker. No decaf coffee or conditioner provided. I DIDN'T like that there wasn’t privacy in the rooms! Only blinds on the windows with no curtains to cover the cracks or light. People could see in the windows when on the pathway and see right to the bed! Between a/c not on as much at night and wanting covered up, it made it hot to sleep well. The foyer like hall of our building was brightly lit. Good for safety but NOT for those that can’t sleep well with bright lights shining in. Temporary curtains would solve both.

Pets are not allowed with respect to people with allergies. Everything was lovely. In between events it seems pretty empty. We stayed 4 nights and saw only 6 others. We had the most peaceful and relaxing time.

We booked our stay for the weekend. The property was perfect for a quiet couples getaway. There are two docks to watch the sunset and boats. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves both nights. The bed was comfortable but there are no curtains, only blinds. It’s easy to see right into the room from one window and the bright exterior light shone in our room all night. There was only a trickle of water pressure from the shower the first night and even less the second night. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with thick or long hair, as I was unable to wash my hair during the stay. The air conditioning is antiquated and did not cool the room in the June heat. We were thankful we’d brought our own fan. The laminate was peeling away from the bathroom cabinet faces and we had carpenter ants in our room the whole time. The property is right on the water. If you can get past the antiquated air conditioning, bright room at night, and cosmetic defects, it’s a very peaceful place to stay.

Bahia Bay Resort was a nice secluded and safe location for a quick getaway. There needs to be more than 2 lounge chairs for the property and hair conditioner would be nice besides shampoo and soap. I would also recommend check in to be earlier than 4:00pm especially with there not being many beach activities to do in Key Largo to kill time. Overall if you are looking for something different than a hotel I would recommend this property.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The lagoon with the two docks were our favorite. We spent most of our time in the lagoon and pool. Our only complaint is the lack of lounge chairs and garbage cans. Still a five stat review

This place was very low-key and chill. I stayed one night, but while I was there it was pretty quiet, which made it a great place to relax. Everything was very clean and well-kept, though decor was a little dated. I actually really liked this about it- it had a home-y feel that was comfortable to me. Big pool, hot tub, and a shallow pool, plus access to the ocean. I would definitely go back to this place.

We liked the property. It was clean and quiet with a very nice location on the waterfront. We were disappointed by an early morning call around 7:30am, which woke us up. The management wanted to question us about an unauthorized vehicle in the parking lot which had nothing to do with us. This seemed very thoughtless to us. They had unusual written rules about unauthorized guests with a hefty fine if any were found. I suspect the morning call was an attempt to collect on that fine.

The room is old, the door to the air conditioner is dirty moody, the only person Michael was rude, inappropriate, very disrespectful and racis. My English is no the best, but I am try to understand her policy, he tell me is no Iam happy cancel you next day , the have to return my money. Never again.

The Bahia Bay Resort is a hidden gem. And I do mean hidden - it's right off South-bound Overseas Highway, but if you didn't have the address, you'd never know it was there. Checking was easy, and Micheal is friendly and responsive, and had some tips for dining, etc. Once you are on the property, it is a delight. The rooms are spacious and airy, recently updated. The bed is comfy, each unit has full control of AC without using a window unit, etc. Rooms are equipped with a mini-fridge, and there is a small icemaker for the building. However, where the property really shines is outdoors. There is a full-size adult pool (quite deep at the deep end), a kiddie pool, and a heated spa. It appears to be a salt-water system, so no strong chlorine smell when you're done. Steps from the pool is the Florida Bay. You can wade out from a coral rock path onto a sandy bottom that is between two small piers, each with chairs and lights, and one with a gas-powered fire-pit. These are amazing spots for viewing the sunset! Highly recommend!

It's a lovely resort, with beautiful pool, gardens, hot water spa, and huge, well-appointed rooms. The place is VERY hard to find: they could use a sign that you can see from the street. The staffer was nice enough but I should say, when an older lady arrives with several pieces of luggage, it would be nice to offer some help.

If you’re looking for a quiet, private, off the grid kind of hotel this is it. The owner was very nice and accommodating. My parents were able to relax. The hot tub was very hot. The pool was heated. The property is gorgeous and very old Florida style. Sure looking to relax with not a lot of people around than this is the right choice. There’s also a big hotel next-door that does live music and seemed welcoming! Thank you!
