We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. It’s a very lovely, vintage property on the West side of Key Largo. A person needs to only walk a short distance down to their private beach nightly to catch the sunset. There are three docks with chairs set to watch the beautiful show of colors. We were in the economy size room so expected a small space. We also knew we would be near the busier highway, but that did not bother us. Frankly, the air conditioner, drowned out that noise. So just know the air conditioner is quite loud, but we were able to turn it off and on as needed. Plus, we were not there that much only in the evenings and early mornings. We had a very cute private covered entry. We were there for six nights. Overall, even though there were three other rooms around us, it felt very private. We didn’t hear anybody else next to us. Parking is on site right next to your room pretty much every night. There are walkable restaurants nearby which was a huge perk too. The staff were very helpful, nice and accommodating. I can’t say enough about them really!

Wonderful beach and helpful staff. Walking distance to several restaurants. Our unit was close to the road, so lots of road noise in the morning. Could had a few hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and swimming suits.

The Pelican exceeded my expectations. It was quiet and beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows were super comfy!!! We were able to swim with a stingray and starfish, nursing shark and saw a dolphin just by the dock. All very exciting Highly recommend this place!!

This place was wonderful! Great location right at the top of the Keys! Excellent waterfront restaurants within walking distance, 2 hours to Key West. 3 beautiful private docks to relax on, free Kayak rentals, little private mini beach. Huge perk for price is location. It was simple, clean, quiet. No luxury, no daily cleanings. If you need towels or extra soap etc…you have to ask so bring stuff. Perfect if you are looking for a nice place to relax and rest your head and you don’t like all the tourists and crowds. I myself enjoy peace and light interaction with people making Key Largo perfection. We spent time fishing, Everglades and Key West for the day. Highly recommend. If you want luxury, this isn’t the place for you.

Old Florida experience! Perfect as a stop off between Miami and Key West. I could also imagine a very chill week there enjoying the sunset each evening.

Parking is free and easily accessible. The staff was both very helpful and accommodating as we opted on our 2nd day to upgrade to a bigger room. The housekeeping staff , very helpful.

While this property was adequate, there were a number of annoyances we encountered in our 5 night stay. The toilet was clogged upon our arrival. Maintenance guy pulled out a bar of soap. Very embarrassing for my partner who had used the toilet and couldn't flush it. Ants on the counter and table. The staff came and sprayed Raid on the counter and said an exterminator would be there the next day. The film of Raid remained so we couldnt use the counter until housekeeping cleaned it. I asked for NO housekeeping upon our arrival but someone was in the room at least twice and didnt actually clean it but left a few toiletries, took 2 towels, but left the others. AC unit was working but cycled on and off all night which is not great for a light sleeper. On the positive side, they offered free kayaks but it was difficult to arrange for one because the staff weren't sure when they were available. Even though 5 kayaks were sitting on the beach seemingly unused, the staff said that they were being used by someone. 10 minutes later, all of the kayaks were available even though none had moved. The staff was pleasant and friendly but i got tired of asking for situations to be resolved so i gave up and made do. Everyone is expensive in the Keys so the price was OK...$1227 for 2 people for 5 nights. Good parking. Ice machine was free. Laundry machines were available..around $2 to wash and $2.50 to dry but we didnt use them. The beach is OK, grassy bottom, rough sand and 3 docks.Comfy beds
Bucket left in the room after being used to unclog toilet....

Parking was bad, big bright lights shining through windows at night, windows in the room don’t close all the way which let mosquitoes in at night. Ants in the bathroom, ants in the bedroom, still finding ants amongst my things now that I have left. We will never be back. So poor.
