6/10 Okay

"The check-in person was bordering on being rude. It was not a good check in experience. Comments: Interesting place. Elevator is needed. We are in our 60's and hauling luggage up to the fourth floor is not in the cards. Luckily, the doorman carried them but his back won't last long doing that. He was a great guy. Install an outside elevator as they are cheap. The lighting in room 406 was very dim...all of it. Install a new lamp in both rooms for additional lighting and stop using those modern cool lightbulbs that don't put out any light. Breakfast of pastries that are wrapped in plastic not so appealing when there are millions of bakeries around. There was almond milk and lactose free milk but no regular whole milk...whose decision was that? Bad one. AND there was no gluten free options. One morning the pineapple that was on the fruit tray was so brown it was gross. Rotten. If it was my hotel I would bring a cook in and serve eggs and bacon and would not stick with the poor choices that were available. While the hotel is in a great location it is doubtful that I would stay there again due to the things mentioned"

"The location was fantastic, the staff did a great job trying to communicate since we speak very little Spanish. If you are a light sleeper beware! The noise from the street can be very loud even at the back of the building where we were, the light from the AC unit was so bright we had to tape four layers of paper over it to dull the intensity, the wood floor has a lot of soft spots and creaks so you are likely to wake others if you get up early. Also despite having room to sleep four there was only a very uncomfortable couch/futon that seated three. Big bummer as we were hoping to have a spot to relax at night post dinner. All in all there were a lot of options at similar prices in the area so research throughly."

"Excellent hotel, located in a historical mid-century building. The staff is professional and courteous, attentive to the needs of the guests. The property is located in the beautiful Condesa neighborhood with easy access to top- line restaurants and boutiques. Highly recommended."

"It was fine, but it wasn’t all that. The location was great and the bed was comfortable, but overall it felt like an elevated La Quinta. The amenities were pretty underwhelming — they gave us a bag with ear plugs and two Q-tips. Seriously. The shower had soap and shampoo dispensers, but the products weren’t very good, so we ended up buying our own. There was no moisturizer or slippers. There were two bathrobes but they probably would've been too small on a child. There was one washcloth in the bathroom and after we used it, it was never replaced so they were no washcloths at all. We accidentally broke a wine glass and let housekeeping know so nobody would cut themselves and we could get it replaced. The housekeeper seemed appreciative that we let her know, but we ended up having to ask for a second wine glass since the broken one was never replaced. I had initially booked a sweet with an interior balcony view but after looking at it I switched to a suite on the street. The balcony had one uncomfortable chair and a view of nothing. The street suite was a little bit noisier but we liked opening the windows in the morning and seeing the city. The whole experience was very underwhelming and I wouldn’t stay there again."
