「I stayed here for the Great North Run in September. The staff are dedicated, to the point of opening breakfast from 5am on the day of the Run for runners! Exemplary and very easy to walk to the centre of Durham.」

「We arrived late so unfortunately didn’t get to experience the food but the bar and restaurant was lovely and we only wish we could have spent more time here. The decor is amazing. Rooms were large and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very helpful.」

「It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. 」
