"The beach view is beautiful! The rooms are dated. The outside is made of wood and are dirty. The faucets in the room have lime scale and not properly clean. The room has a smell. The towels were not clean. Received a towel with a red stain on it. The sliding doors did not all lock. Balconies were dirty and old. Can't get to your room without bringing sand with you. The property needs a renovation and more lighting. Electricity went out and the backup generator was very loud in the middle of the night. The gym was dated and did not have disinfectant to wipe after use, nor towels. They only had paper towels and a sink/ bathroom. Breakfast was just okay. Bar staff was friendly and attentive!"

"This felt like an authentic island experience, private cabin style rooms that truly feel like a cabin. Great breakfast every morning. Excellent staff all over the resort made us feel very welcome and cared for. The beach was clean every day with plenty of chairs and umbrellas for guests. "

"Our stay at La Placita was perfect. Staff were so kind and they all felt like family by the time our stay was over. Kemberly and Michael at the front desk are the best! Breakfast was made to order and always very good. Edward was our waiter most mornings for breakfast and he was fantastic! Our room and beds were very comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay at La Placita the next time we come back to Roatan!"

"There was no a hot water in our room for a couple of days. We complain but we're given a promises every day. Finally we insisted to give us another room."
