"Great location, super modern and clean, staff was very friendly and even had a birthday card for my daughter and let us use a Polaroid camera to make memories. They saw us dressed up in kimonos and came outside to take pictures of us. Even told us where to pose so you could see the beautiful temple in the background. Overall, this was a beautiful place and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend"

"Campton Kiyomizu is a traditional Japanese hotel conveniently located in the old town center of Kyoto. There was a near-by grocery store open 24 hours, which we frequented, and taxis were always available. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and all areas were very clean. It even had a washing machine. They gave us comfortable pajamas which we ended up purchasing. Our host, Masao, provided outstanding service, accommodating our every need, including coordinating the luggage...

"Hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The staff set the gold standard for hospitality—warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. Our Two Twin Room with a balcony was fantastic. It was super spacious, beautifully lit, and had great air conditioning. The bathroom was huge, and having two sinks made a massive difference. "A well positioned hotel close to the main station. The room was spacious, well maintained with wonderfully comfortable beds. The bathroom was good. We didn't eat at the hotel as we generally prefer to eat elsewhere. We did consider having breakfast but the price seemed very high compared to local eating establishments. Free coffee and soft drinks in the reception area was a nice touch. My only complaint was the lifts; they were plainly possessed by some malignant spirit and rarely went to the requested floor without visiting a number of random floors first!! Overall, a good hotel to stay at but use the stairs if you're in a hurry."

"All the amenities, lobby, and room were very clean, spacious, and well-maintained! The luggage lockers were especially helpful. Two tips: (1) make sure you rinse off in one of the showers near the public bath before entering (this isn't listed on the list of "rules" but it is, indeed, one). (2) Be prepared to wait awhile for the laundry machines to open up; they were full for a while when we were there. Also you'll probably have to run the drying cycle 1.5 times to get your load fully dry."

"The rooms, baths, and entire hotel was very clean. The buffet breakfast had numerous choices and empty trays were quickly refilled by attentive staff. The bathroom designs were lovely and modern. Ours had a privacy wall of plants. The rooms were a nice size and beds were very comfortable. Towels were provided regularly."
