"This is a really interesting and fun place to stay. Historic and vibey. Was there with my 7 yo, so the pool was fun. Also cool across the street is an old school steak house called Shaws, and a place called the Pantry for breakfast. For the price it was great ! little rough around some edges. but if your cool with that for all the other charms its cool."

"We arrived very early (noonish) from the airport and were expecting to wait for our room. They quickly checked us in and we were in our room within 10 minutes of arriving. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and interesting to walk through. Great history of the hotel. Found everything to be immaculate. Close to Petco park which is why we were there. We found a great little place for breakfast (Cafe 222) just a few short blocks away and a Ralph’s a couple blocks...
