The music and festivities in the bar, which was just downstairs from our room, were so loud that even with the door closed it was at full volume. When we called the front desk, they informed us that this would be happening until 10PM. They told us we could not switch rooms as they were fully booked. We immediately checked out! luckily we booked with Expedia and we were able to get another hotel room right away. Not to mention the gas fireplace in our room had a pilot light that was probably 3 inches tall and there was no option to shut it off whatsoever. If you brushed by it too fast there was fear of it going out and then gas filling the room. when we arrived there were homeless people and sex workers outside the property directly outside the front door. Our room had not been updated in many many years. Everything was old and stained, including the bedding. So gross. The furniture was peeling paint and wood veneer the door that lead out to our balcony did not shut properly and was not sealed. You could see the outside through the bottom and the sides of the doorway and the door jam. While the staff was very kind at the front desk and understood why we were checking out, There wasn’t very much professionalism. The staff were not wearing uniforms. They looked disheveled. The front desk was old and outdated. I felt like I was walking into a cheap motel, not a $400 a night hotel that we had expected to be romantic, clean and beautiful. Don’t trust the pictures
