「Bertrams is a lovely place to stay in Warkworth. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in a dog friendly room which was at the front facing the road. The room was really hot due to the great weather but we were unable to have the window open during the night because of the noise from the busy road. 「Great place to stay. In a great location for walking holiday and visiting local attractions. Place was kept in excellent condition. Lovely views of the hills and to watch the sun go down on a night. Nice bottle of wine left by the hosts for your arrival. Left to you own devices by the owners unless you had a problem. Would definitely stay again. 」

Significant problem in that to ensure right mix of tables, all through the meal tables were being dismantled rolled out to a storage room and others replaced and set . A bit like breakfast whilst refurbishment on going .」

「The location of the property was good, although we found the low ceiling height in places a problem and the sofa was too soft for our ageing bones. We were disappointed that the owner didn't refer to the planned building work in their hair salon downstairs. This caused disruption across two days of our break. 」

It felt the barmaid was busy with customers, taking priority over hotel guests. That said, everything else was as good as could have been expected.」
