「The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel at home and very welcome. The hotel was lovely, quiet, with proper fires and excellent Chesterfields to relax and chat on. 「We had a fantastic stay at this quirky and beautiful hotel. Even though we had booked the petite double room it didn't disappoint. As hotel rooms go it wasn't small. Beautifully decorated with beautiful ornate furniture and very comfy bed. Tea , coffee and water replenished every day. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were excellent, lovely and friendly. We would definitely go back. 」

「I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?」

The only issues were the very few parking spaces available, and the fact we could only park for up to 2hrs with a permit during the day, if there wasn’t any space in the tiny car park. But we loved the hotel itself and would recommend. 」

「This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area. We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been.
