「We really enjoyed this historic older building built in 1884 near the black river and close to Lake Michigan. Our room was small but comfortable; quiet at night and in the morning. We had a nice view of the water. Breakfast was phenomenal with many choices like a home-cooked meal. The only hitch was the first night where we didn’t know how to control the room’s radiator heat and it got too warm. 「The host was very welcoming. Very knowledgeable about where to go locally to sight see and eat. Breakfast was hot, fresh and a great chance to chat with the host and other guests, but only if you wanted to. Host was not pushy and very accommodating. We got the picnic and she tailored it to our needs. It was a wonderful stay!」
