Unreliable and Unprofessional - My Reservation Was Canceled Without Notice I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I booked my room well in advance and received confirmation, but when I arrived, I was told that my reservation was canceled without notifying me. No call. No email. Nothing. The front desk staff offered no real apology or solution. When I asked to speak to the hotel manager I was told that there was no manager on duty and only the front desk manager could help me. After an hour of stopping everyone who looked like they worked there the hotel manager appeared and offered me a less than desirable option which refused until they offered me something better. I chose this hotel based on location and decent past reviews, but clearly they have major issues with their booking system and customer service. I would not trust them again for any future stay. If you need reliability and basic courtesy, look elsewhere.

I was amazed by the beauty of this hotel. What truly made my experience unforgettable was the incredible Entertainment Team. A special thank you to Raji, Diego, Jhovanny, Fabricio, and Alan. Each of them brought so much energy, kindness, and so many smiles to my days there. They all went above and beyond to make every moment fun and memorable. Whether it was beach games, poolside activities, or evening shows, they made me feel like I was part of the Catalonia family. This hotel is pure magic, and I truly cant wait to visit soon. Nice resort. It’s very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that there’s not a lot to do besides the pools. They do have a kids club and a teen center but the hours are short and the teen center gets tons of activity but isn’t open all the time either. I don't understand why they wouldn't enlarge the teen center, (everyone goes there not just teens), it wouldn’t cost very much, they seem to have plenty of space and they are saving tons because I didn't see any heavy drinking going on like the other all inclusives I’ve been to. They do have nightly shows and they were entertaining.

Just got back from our 3 day stay at Catalonia Costa mujeres.The grounds are beautiful, especially at night. The lighting & aesthetic makes for great pictures with the family. The rooms are clean & the staff is very friendly! - They have 3 pools. Two are on each side of the resort while the third smaller one is on the top floor- access to it by using the stairs. As far as both of the bigger pools, they are very different in which and who they cater too. One of the pools had music, games while the other pool did not. We were at the quiet pool, we have SMALL children and the set up and access to the pool itself it more suitable for children. -FOOD, was not pleasant. They have a international buffet, a few lunch restaurants & the others are dinner & by reservations only. As far as reservations go, please please please make reservations ahead of time! They will fill up days in advance! The one time I did make reservations they were running behind schedule. My reservation was at 10 PM. Didn’t get seated till 10:20, -eating by 11. I was so upset. -The resort claims to be a family friendly resort, which it is. However, the guest are not. I have 3 small children. 9,4 & 2 & while we did see a lot of families, there’s also a lot of elderly people. Who elderly people can be a hit or miss with kids. I witness a lot of displeased people with presence of ALL kids. Idk why people who don’t like kids, just don’t book an adult only resort. So if you have small children, look elsewhere.

This is the third resort i’ve stayed at in Cancun, I would say by far the food has been the best! Only disadvantage would be there is a lot of kids especially at the swim up bar area. Overall it’s a good resort!
