「Upon arrival it was a bit unclear where to go for check in. Room on the third floor without an elevator was a bit of a trek. Bed was like a board and quite uncomfortable. Very nice complementary mocktails were crafted in lieu of the complimentary glass of bubbles. Neighboring guests were noisy. Transportation back from town concluded at 9pm on a Thursday night, so we had to drive our own car. Coffee in the morning was delicious. Overall, it was nice, but for the cost we would likely not return...

「We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. 「We had a great time at The Ruse. This was the best stay we had on our California road trip! Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The groundskeeper, both front desk workers, and chef for breakfast specially went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible. 」

「If you want to try glamping this is a nice location to do it. The area is far enough away to be rural with only a few blocks walk to downtown and great places to eat. One recommendation I would have for the location. Is to go over the rules of the property with everyone and provide a phone number when there is an issue.
