Special thanks to Ricardo, our concierge, for always being attentive and helpful; Mike, who took great care of our luggage; and Ceasar, who recommended amazing activities and helped us discover Chichén Itzá and Tulum. "We booked this resort for our family trip to Cancun and overall had a wonderful stay. The resort was very clean, and we were lucky enough to get an ocean-view room. However the shower tab was broken and the water can't be turned off completedly. There are three restaurants within the resort, which made dining very convenient. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, with a great variety of food options. The pool also has a stunning view, and relaxing there with the sea breeze was definitely one of our favorite parts of the stay. Unfortunately, the one major disappointment was the lack of transparency and honesty during check-in. We were told by the staff that we had been given a $200 USD resort credit to use toward our stay and additional spending. We were also told there would be a separate $200 USD security deposit, which would only be charged if there were any damages. However, when we checked out, we noticed that our final bill was higher than what we had actually spent. We contacted the hotel manager to clarify the charges, and she explained that, in Mexico, the credit was equivalent to the credit card deposit and that we had misunderstood the explanation at check-in. Regardless of the terminology or policy, the explanation we received when checking in was very clear to us: $200 in stay credit plus a separate $200 security deposit. If the hotel intended these to be the same amount, this should have been explained clearly from the beginning."
