"STRANDED- Our party of a 9, including a 2yo and 10yo, were flying into town. Due to weather, our flight was delayed multiple times. Each time, at least one person in our party would notify this hotel to alert them of our delayed departure and new expected arrival. We verified the airport shuttle was still running after midnight. Just before takeoff we alerted the hotel we were in route. Since noon that day, we had been assured our shuttle and rooms were available. Upon finally arriving at 2:45am, and calling the hotel after retrieving our luggage, as was communicated verbally by hotel staff that evening, we were told what terminal to wait at for a ride, but they only had 1 room left. Thinking they surely misunderstood, that we already had reservations and had been confirmed available, we proceeded to the hotel. Upon arrival we learn not only is there not 1 room available, there are now 0 rooms available, when we had paid for 3 rooms months ago. We were advised by Marriott Corporate to go to a 2nd hotel, we paid for an Uber to get us there, Corporate said they would cover the cost of the room. We arrived at Renaissance Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, and were rudely told they do not have a room, but their other hotel 12 miles away has a room and to get an Uber and go there. At this point it is 3:45am. Our 10yo is finally asleep. We didn’t trust the Marriott system. The front staff at Ren. was so rude. We made it to our cruise with no sleep. I received only 1/2 refund at this point."

"Great two bedroom suite, clean rooms . Nice breakfast included. Close to airport . However no hot tub and the pool is not heated, and it was freezing ! So if travelling with kids you might look for heated pool . "

"It was great to have a free airport shuttle to pick us up, had to pay for port shuttle, but very convenient. Room was nice, breakfast buffet was good, just wish more gluten free options available. Had to stay an extra day due to flight cancellations, staff were friendly eager to help keep our room. We will be back next year"

"The front desk staff were kind and efficient. The room was clean but the bathroom was not cleaned properly and had hair all over. The bathroom water is yellow which I guess is currently a Fort Lauderdale issue. There is a quick efficient shuttle service to and from the airport and cruise port. The cruise shuttle is $20 per person. FLL airport is a nightmare but the shuttle driver will be in contact to do pick up. "

"Staff are exceptional especially the gentleman working overnight last night. They had our room ready early and stored our baggage after our cruise yesterday. The person who deserves March 17 into the morning on March 18. My friend found out at 3am her dad had passed away unexpectedly. The gentleman’s working the front desk was overnight was soo accommodating. He made my whole travel party tea and coffee and extended our checkout the next day. I wish I knew his name to mention but in the upset didn’t catch it. Hope his manager sees this review as he deserves recognition for how wonderful he was. "
