Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. 「Stunning building but the maintenance of it lets it down. The hostess at breakfast was very friendly and helpful, but the service itself was chaotic. They should be serving barista made drinks with breakfast rather than having queues at an instant machine. Some people were ordering from menus, others weren’t. The staff seemed very stressed. The room was basic but ok value for money. The spa treatment was the highlight」

「The Ettington Park hotel is an extraordinary English Family Castle with a great & long history. Our stay in this hotel was extremely comfortable and relaxed. 「The room we stayed in was far too hot. Even though we had the window open, the temperature control set to 16°C and the fan on, it was very uncomfortable. We found it difficult to sleep. We also spent as short a time as possible in our room. We were disappointed with the food available. The website advertised a Market Menu, which wasn't available. Just the expensive menu in the restaurant to choose from. However the breakfast staff we very courteous and the choice of food was excellent.」
