The people I interacted with were friendly and helpful for the most part (exception:Taproot restaurant). The city is very walkable if it isn't raining! There are walking paths and little city parks to sit and enjoy a view of the water.

Traverse City is a gem: vibrant small town with many nice restaurants, pleasant walking in a restored historic downtown, right on beautiful Lake Michigan. It was our first trip and we plan to return.

We spent time on the peninsula as well as Interlochen my favorite was the Apache Trout Grill. Everything was so delicious. I had the Halubut, my husband had the whitefish. It was amazingly good!

Never a bad time in TC. Stay in the off-season months for a much less touristy experience. The vineyards, breweries, and cideries are all open in the winter with shorter hours.

Traverse City is my favorite place to be in Michigan. I love the restaurants, the shops, beaches, outdoor activities, wineries, parks and quaint little towns nearby. I go to be by Traverse Bay- it's beautiful and relaxing! You are also near Sleeping
