This isn't your conventional lodging. I gave this property 5 stars because I got everything I needed, but let me explain what you're in for.
I got one of the cheapest rooms, which was essentially a closet with a bed, chair, and table. The shared bathroom was a few feet away.
Depending on the room you rent, you'll be getting the bare basics, so just be aware of that. Soap and a towel is provided.
The Chinatown Traveller's Home is in a quiet, convenient location. There's a park nearby that always has people exercising or relaxing, and if you cut through it, you're just a few blocks from CN Tower.
The location is excellent.
There is no room service and the bathrooms will be restocked at least once a week.
The staff IS available at all times, so if you arrive late at night, they'll still be able to help you out.
TLDR: this place is great if you need a bed to sleep in and won't spend a lot of time in your room. The only thing you might have to worry about is the people you share the bathroom with.
