i had to spend 2 hrs on this yesterday, and have to redo it today. it's incredibly annoying, i can't believe i'm bothering. and there's minimal room for me to go into detail.
so, the major point is that i thought it was fine, & a decent enough room overall. a smaller room in a gentrified, kinda downtrodden area of the city. (i'm not used to downtown renovations, so kinda echh) the room was furnished spartanly, but that's ok. i'm there for a day or 2, who cares. it was clean and the bathroom had very modern fixtures that worked pretty well. and a minifridge. the rate, relatively inexpensive, that's the main thing. i paid extra for a private bath.
hidden fee, they charge extra for parking, plus taxes.
it's in chinatown, obviously, near downtown. near yonge street and spadina.
it was close to various stuff i was doing, including less than a mile from the main venue. had i been less lazy and more familiar, and it hadn't rained, i coulda walked to some stuff, and saved exorbitant downtown parking fees.
the directions for checking in were a bit confusing and on site it was difficult to get the people there to assist. thankfully, i think, a bunch of people showed up right after me, so we got their attention. english, not great.
then, we had to go around the block to the back to park the car, off an alley behind the building, the area was weedy and a bit unkept. bit of an insect problem, too. spiders, flies. the alley to the front and the side exterior of the building also. enjoy
