"The hotel is very large, beautiful, and has a lot to offer, especially for families with children. However, our experience was somewhat disappointing because many of the activities and amenities shown in the photos and videos come with an additional cost.
Several of the children’s attractions require extra payment, including the go-karts, water park, nightclub, bowling, and other activities. We were not expecting so many additional charges, especially because these amenities are heavily featured in the hotel’s advertising and promotional materials.
Another disappointment was the quality of the alcoholic drinks. The margaritas and piña coladas served at the pool were extremely sweet and tasted mostly like syrup, with very little or almost no alcohol. If you wanted a stronger drink, you were told that you needed a VIP wristband. This was frustrating, especially considering that the hotel is advertised as an all-inclusive resort.
On the positive side, the housekeeping staff was wonderful and very attentive, and the front desk staff was also kind and helpful. Unfortunately, we did have a different experience with some of the waiters at the specialty restaurants, who came across as quite abrupt and unwelcoming.
Overall, the hotel is nice, spacious, and has beautiful facilities, but for us, the additional costs took away from the experience. We have stayed at other resorts with very similar amenities and comparable prices, but without having to pay extra for so many activities."
