"Charming historic Inn with great food and friendly staff"

"We are so glad we stayed at Cave Hill Farm B&B! The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. The house was beautiful and peaceful. It was a short drive to Mashita, where we had an excellent dinner. In the morning, we walked downstairs and had a delicious breakfast while chatting with the other guests, which was all lovely. We look forward to returning. "

"Hopkins Ordinary was wonderful. Spotless clean, inside and out. Great communication. Super friendly and helpful innkeepers. Gave us recommendations and directions for a hike. Loved having a fireplace in the room - worked well. Beer was great too - a wide selection. We will book again!"

"Host is a very nice and interesting to talk to. Farm had neat things to look at. Very quiet and relaxing. Didn't know we had to tell them we wanted breakfast ahead of time so we missed out on the breakfast both days. I don't know if that was communicated to me or not. "

"This Inn is definitely a step into history. The grounds are beautiful and from the moment you step into the foyer, you know you're someplace special. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the breakfast can't be beat, and the antiques throughout give the place a classic vibe. Can't recommend it enough!"

"This B&B was a great find. The house was out of the beaten path which made it perfect. A river at the bottom of the hill with a porch overlooking it was peaceful. A cow pasture was close by. The owner was lovely and accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and all homemade. Will refer to friends who live nearby and when in area again, we will definitely stay again."

"The Inn is very cozy and comfortable. Art was very hospitable and really took care of us. The morning breakfast was freshly made and tasted awesome. My only negative comment is that there are not many places to eat that are walkable, and most close very early. There is a nice steak/chop house next door but closes at 8:00 pm."

"The cottage was beautiful. Was disappointed that their wasn't breakfast. They did supply coffee. The bathroom was just beautiful, the only I could say negative, is the towel smelled mildew. The bed was very wonderful."

"Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi."

"This has become an annual trip for my family. Very relaxing. Love spending hours at the rec center. The property is cool. Actually received brand new living room furniture on our second day. Only complaint would be the out dated TVs in the bedroom. I’m sure they’ll be changing those soon"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Massanutten Resort. The resort offers many amenities and activities however everything must be purchased separately. I wish they offered an all inclusive option for families. The prices are high, but I guess that's as expected for a four seasons resort. The indoor waterpark was awesome!
