「Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a good selection of breakfast items. Staff was friendly and helpful as well.」

「This was our third time staying at Avenwood. We enjoyed the first 2 stays but the third was not good. There was a power outage that went on all night. Due to the power outage there was a beeping noise that was not the smoke detector that just kept beeping and we couldn’t stop it. It disrupted our sleep and our all around relaxation. 「Conveniently located close to Ohio U campus and the E. State St shopping area. Some updates have been made to the rooms but they still show signs of age and could use further renovation. Rooms also have old school loud ac units. There was variety in the breakfast selection but the hot item quality wasn’t great and the coffee was weak. Would skip breakfast and walk across the parking lot to Bob Evans instead. An OK experience but not worth the 200+ paid for the room.」

「Waited 6 mins or so, went hunting for the check in attendant. Found her. Got defensive, said she was alone. Told her a simple note at the desk for patrons to read would be nice. Musty smell everywhere, no elevator.」

「They don’t have an onsite store if that matters to you. They sell a few canned beverages from a mini fridge at check in. Rooms and hallways are a bit dark and dingy. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful though.」

「When we got there, the trash bin was dirty and there was a tea bag in the coffee maker. Looks disgusting! 」
