「Were there some hiccups during this stay, yes, but the staff responded quickly to fix them. Was there for a quick over night stay and my first time staying here in a year or two. A nice stay overall」

「Hotel is a part of the historic Fort. The room was a good size but the bathroom a little tight. The website photos may lead you to believe there is a bar and restaurant, but it's no longer in use. But it's just a 10 minute walk to the town with a number of bars and restaurants.」

「Great stay, right by the ferry terminal. Staff were very helpful. Drivers were great and helpful with pick up and drop offs. Restaurants were great, staff were wonderful with my 6 year old and his desires for plain food, they made fish especially for him with “none of the extras”, plus a side of ketchup.」

「Ian was great checking us in , our room was unfortunately hot , the walls are paper thin and the beds are sloped from people sitting on the sides of them . Once people stopped walking around in there rooms (yes you can hear them walking in the rooms next door so if their talking u can hear every detail ) . Breakfast was very nice and included . We would not stay there again due to the heat and the noise and uncomfortable beds .」

「We were really happy with Captain's Choice, especially after a long day of biking. Great views over the water from the shared patio/deck. Clean rooms. Carpeted hotel floors have grossed me out before but the ones here were clean and well taken care of. Parking in the back lot was a little tight but we found spots for both cars. If I need a room in Haines again this will be my first choice.」

「We enjoyed our stay here . The staff was very friendly and helpful, even hurrying to bring my phone charger out to me as we waited for a shuttle to the airport. Breakfast was good and the room, while a little small, was comfortable and decently equipped. It’s a bed and breakfast so don’t expect a fancy modern hotel.」

「TV's didn't work. changed batteries twice and remote once. thermostat in room all taped up. Staff at front desk was very helpful. brought a blanket and tried to fix remote. fixed the heater. very thin beadspread and no blanket. lots of drug deals going on outside the main lobby. i did not feel secure there.」

「The hotel may have rebranded to the Southeast Resort, but it is an old hotel. The refrigerator shell was broken. The room just looked tired. The elevator was extremely slow. The bathtub wasn't really clean and there was someone else's long hair clinging to the shower curtain, yuck. On the positive side the bed was quite comfortable, and the hotel location is right by downtown and close to tourist areas.」

「Overall this is a very good hotel but when I ordered a cab to Crescent harbour. I hope the reception could tell me that Crescent harbour is just 5 minutes away that one could walk. So that I could have an option to walk or take the car.」

「Owner very helpful and knowledgeable about local sites and places to see offered to take us anywhere and call her. She pick us up one of a kind.」

「Once we arrived at the hotel, everything was fine. Don’t wait for the shuttle bus for airport pick up. Our dependence on the shuttle delayed our hotel check in by over an hour. It’s only a 15 or less minute drive to the hotel from the airport. Just spend the $20 on a taxi or uber. They were very good.」
