" Very average hotel, devoid of any character. Staff functional but not particularly engaging. Modern and clean but weirdly given a triple room despite booking a deluxe double. Ended up with cramped room and a table with only 1 chair! Didn’t try food or drink as local offering is far more interesting."

"Lovely staff, nicely renovated room in iconic building, great Penhaligons amenities in the room. We were disappointed howerever with the quality of the breakfast: the cured meats were of poor quality, same as the cheese. We stayed on the 1st floor on a Saturday night, and we could hear music from the restaurant below until 11pm, if not midnight. Lastly, th bar at the area is always busy (no spaces reserved for guests) and we couldn't get a table to have some light lunch after checking out."
