The Sidney Pier Hotel

The Sidney Pier Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We have stayed at the Pier before and this trip we noticed that they completely renovated the rooms to a very high end tasteful standard. Our check in was very slow and their system did not retain the information from a prior stay. There really is no hotel amenities but within the building they have a coffee cafe, reasonable restaurant and spa not operated by the hotel. The hotel is in a great location to other restaurants and beautiful views of the harbor."

Quarrystone House B&B

Quarrystone House B&B

10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at the Quarrystone Bed and Breakfast on Salt Spring Island. The breakfasts were amazing and would cost a lot at a restaurant !! They encouraged you to take muffins and pastries away to have later in the day. This allowed us skip lunch. The staff were wonderful ! The farm setting was lovely and we had an ocean view through the trees from our bottom floor unit. It was helpful to have a fridge in the room too! Room was very clean. The air conditioner worked well ! The B & B is a fair drive from the Vesuvious Ferry but in a lovely rural part of the island. There is so much to see and do on Salt Spring Island that I would suggest 3 nights at least. Unfortunately we missed the Saturday Market so I would plan on staying over a weekend next time. Despite No Reservations on the Gulf Islands, we did not encounter any ferry waits especially if we arrived early at the terminals. I would Highly Recommend staying at the Quarrysrone B & B !!!!
