The location of this little motel is lovely across the street from Cowichan Bay and many rooms have nice ocean views. The staff is what makes the place shine as they are very friendly and go out of their way to make the guests feel welcomed and satisfied.

Great spot, the location was really nice, we had a view of the water and the marina and shops were just a walk away. Every morning we would go for a walk along the water, past the shops to the marina where we could watch sea lions and seals. The accommodation was just what we needed, complete with a very useful kitchenette. Would definitely go there again.

The manager that checked us in was the most helpful and friendly in any accomodation I have ever stayed at. He bent over backwards to assist us with anything we needed. The location was great and we didn't realize that our room also came with a kitchen. Wonderful stay.

Propert had a real seaside vibe. They treated us and our little dog well. Over all was a good stay in a unique character village right on the bay.Main complaint would be poor sound proofing as it’s an old building.

The Wessex Inn was a good, convenient place to stay. We were upgraded to a room with a view which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is being renovated but there were no disruptive noises or mess.

They are doing what they can with this old building. Some suites have been upgraded, but some sweets are very old smaller flat screens have been installed. The mattresses are newer. The bedding is clean. The towels are clean. Just don’t look too close at the bathroom floor, but surprisingly the shower surround was redone and clean.
