"This hotel was a mixed bag for us. The location was good - only a short walk to the beach and a few minutes from the airport. Despite being close to the airport, I didn't find the hotel too noisy. The room actually seemed pretty quiet. The other positives were the size of the room, the water pressure in the shower, and the breakfast most days was good. It was also great to have a guest laundry available. They do offer access to two beach chairs, but we did not take advantage of that as we found the other side of the beach more peaceful. On the flip side, our room had an unpleasant smell that hit you every time you walked into the room, the shower was open with glass only half way across the shower (had I known this in advance, I would have booked elsewhere as that is a huge hotel pet peeve for me) allowing water to get on the bathroom floor, and there was no fan in the bathroom. Given the ever present humidity, not having a fan in the bathroom was just ridiculous. The beds were okay, on the firm side, but the pillows offered no support. The front desk staff was mostly pleasant, but my husband did have issue with one person. Between the "resort" fee and the parking fee, there is an additional $68 per day. I don't feel like we got any value from a resort fee. Our son ended up being sick for part of our trip, so he did not join us for breakfast. Guests are not allowed to take any breakfast food out of the area, so we could not even fix him a plate and take it to our room."

"We stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise. It was honestly perfect for our needs. We arrived in the middle of the night and were still greeted with a smile. The room was not huge, but perfect for a family of 3 for a couple of nights. It was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The bathroom was small but adequate. The pool area was great and my daughter enjoyed it. There was also a really nice terrace area upstairs. The hotel had a little “shop” and free coffee (a huge win for me!). Location is a quick walk to the beach. This is not a 5 star hotel but it was mostly 5 stars for us. The price was right, the people were amazing, the pillows were soft and we will definitely stay again if we get the chance to visit the area again."

"We were disappointed when we arrived to see a room that did not reflect at all what is shown on the site. Towels were dingy, floor was dirty, the carpet runner in front of the bath room was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. The few dingy utensils there were we did not touch. We are experienced travelers and this felt like a thrird-world experience. There were 2 bottles of water in frig that were simply refilled!? After traveling 12 hours to arrive here it was a complete dissapointment. Guest beware, this is NOT was is shown in the photos."

"An employee hotel key card was used to enter my room while there was a do not disturb sign on the door. The person ran. When I reported it to the front desk they said I made it up and that it was not possible while giving me the meanest rudest attitudes I've ever experienced on vacation. I had to call the cops. Safety and Security at a Marriott should not be a worry while you are on vacation. Nor should rude hotel management covering up for their staff. "
