"Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were all very nice and attentive. Food and drink wait service by the pool Ended at 4pm…which seems too early. The pool chairs were nicely padded and comfy. Drinks were good. Had dinner at STK and 1919.…STK…I do not recommend. 1919... Food was pretty good if you like the Michelin star vibe….tiny portions/large price… but dress code and decorum for such a fine restaurant was not enforced which detracted from our good time. Allowing patrons to wear Tshirts/basketball shorts/baseball hats/crocs is disrespectful to the other guests imo."

"The hotel was centralized where it was close to the freeway and at the end of the strip for a beautiful walk any time of day. Lots of nearby restaurants for various food. It was less than 10 minutes Uber ride to Old San Juan, 15 minutes away from the airport. Hotel itself was nice and clean, lobby and outside was maintained. During our stay only 1 elevator (out of 2) was working so sometimes we had to catch the next ride b/c it was full. The “beach” is small and rocky, would recommend water shoes. Our room: It was good enough for a place to come back to sleep. Not sure if there was room service because we never ordered any. It is a bit dark, their lighting was 2 individual lamps, 2 small headboard lamps, and a light in front of the door. 2 of the 4 light switches in the bathroom actually turned on lights. The bathroom sink drained very slowly, not sure if that’s just how the plumbing is or if it needed maintenance. Overall I had a good stay as a place to sleep and leave for the day."

"I cannot emphasize this enough: Stay away from Placid Suites. My group of six stayed here recently, and it was the most unprofessional and unsanitary experience we have ever had. The Issues: Severe Infestation: Within minutes of "settling in," we found a cockroach crawling across the bed. Upon inspection, we found more in the kitchen and the second bedroom. Filthy Conditions: The bedsheets had heavy brown stains, and there was old food left on the floor. Despite the owner claiming the room "wasn't ready," the beds were made and towels were folded, suggesting this was their standard of "clean." Safety & Health: After being moved to a second unit that was allegedly clean, we immediately found another cockroach. That night, two girls in our group were bitten so severely they had to go to Urgent Care. Medical testing confirmed these were cockroach bites, resulting in massive swelling and intense itching. Lack of Basics: There was no toilet paper or paper towels provided. We had to go to the store and buy basic necessities ourselves. Management: The communication was non-existent. After the initial "apology," the owner completely ghosted us. I called and texted countless times regarding the second infestation and the lack of supplies, but received no response. We spent our trip terrified to sleep, eventually sleeping on top of towels because the beds felt unsafe. This place is a health hazard. Do not book here—run the other way."
