"The hotel is amazing! However the rooms you get via Expedia do not reflect the standard of the other regular rooms. (We had a tiny room squeezed in a corner and the view was obstructed by parts of the building: NOT what you would expect if you pay 700$ a night. "

"We just had a nice stay at hotel caribe. Yes the hotel is old and could use some tlc (bathroom door was VERY hard to open from the inside and a couple times friends outside of bathroom had to open it), but nothing that would be a dealbreaker.. our main complaint was double beds for a 4 person room, which are barely big enough for 2 adults to sleep in.. queen size should be standard especially when you are traveling with friends and aren’t planning to spoon each other at night 😬 the front desk staff were great but I want to give a special shoutout to Patricia who was soooo nice and helpful. The hotel is on very close proximity to old San Juan, the excursions like rain forest, boats to icaco island and fajarda are about an hour drive so too far to uber.. we rented a car but it seemed like the hotel had good options to get you to those activities… overall it was a nice hotel but felt a little on the pricey side for the rooms that you get"

"amazing place great staff best trip"

"Overall, we had a good time. However, our first day and check-in experience was disappointing due to an interaction with Jesus at the front desk. The day before our trip, we called to request an early check-in since our flight was arriving at 1 PM. The gentleman we spoke with said it should not be an issue. When we arrived, a young lady informed us that our room was not ready yet, but that she would text us as soon as it was available. At 4 PM, the stated check-in time, we went back to the desk to ask about our room. Jesus told us, “We texted you.” I explained that I had not received any text, and he responded, “Oh well, we texted.” My husband then asked if he felt that was the right way to handle the situation, especially since we had been told the day before that early check-in should be possible and were also asked earlier that day to give it another hour. I wanted to share this because when traveling, you hope to enjoy your trip from the very first moment. Unfortunately, this interaction took away from that experience. It was especially disappointing because this trip was our honeymoon."

"No complaints. Excellent staff, bar service, and beach access. Everyone took care of me and felt safe as a solo traveler. Had a ton of fun and enjoyed the beach every day. Definitely coming back "

"The location is good. The place is nice, but the pool wasn't clean. Additionally, we had problems with the bathroom; water started leaking everywhere. The staff was excellent."

"We checked in on Thursday. The front desk employee was great and kind the first day. All of the other days there were different people covering the desk. Not one greeted or acknowledged us. Once we got into the elevator to get to our rooms it was dirty. But figured maybe it was just that one day (it wasn't). We went into the room and it was very outdated, towels were gross (we ended up buying our own), furniture was dirty and old, rooms have no iron, no microwave and the tv did not work. The location is good but does not offer parking. We had to pay $27 a day to park the car at another resort and walk to the hotel. We are not people to complain so we just stood out the room as much as possible. But would not stay here again."
