「Everything was perfect. Beautiful room. Claudio, Sophia and all the staff were extremely helpful, organising our trips and booking taxis and transfers for us. The breakfast was amazing, different every day. The hotel is an oasis in a busy city. Would definately recommend staying here」

「This is not a quiet hotel. It is more of a B&B. It is a beautiful place, and the art installations are really interesting. The furnishings in the room are really cool and funky. The neighborhood is very quaint, and the end is close to cafés and bars and galleries. That’s the good. There are no staff on site after the afternoon. One night there was no hot water. Their system usually depends on solar panels, but there had not been sun and somebody forgot to turn on the back up. The rooms...

「The staff are generally friendly. Our first check-in at 3pm at Monte Alegre was smooth by friendly staff. Two days after, we decided to stay two extra days and paid via Expedia. 「Very nice! The hotel is not located in the beach area, but is 1minutes way to the metro station, half an hour to the Ipanema! The service is good ,especially the breakfast!」

「The property was nice. The room (on 4th floor) had an interesting smell. I thought it smelled like moth repellant or cockroach repellant. But my wife said it smelled like moist mold or something. It wasn’t very bad. Breakfast was very good. The staff was really great. 」
