I already know (& love) the beaches but was coming to Rio after 2 wks on Florianópolis beaches. Missed my flight to US at Riogaleão, arriving after midnight. 「The hotel room was great. The reception staff was also very helpful & shockingly, she spoke perfect English. The rest of the country either refuses to speak English or cant. Whilst the hotel service was great, the neighbourhood is extremely sketchy. I didnt feel safe and would not venture out alone in broad daylight beyond the front porch of the hotel. The only reason to book this hotel is its close proximity to the Sambadrome. 」

「Very nice! The hotel is not located in the beach area, but is 1minutes way to the metro station, half an hour to the Ipanema! The service is good ,especially the breakfast!」
