"This was our 5th time to stay at this hotel and we’ve had nothing but good experiences. We always holiday in Playa Blanca and have tried other 5* hotels but we always return to The Volcan. The staff, as always, is so friendly and accommodating. I love how they’ve kept the traditional Spanish feel and decor that makes it a joy to walk around and that they have added modern touches without losing it’s authenticity. It is always spotlessly clean and has the best breakfast buffet with so much choice. Highly recommended."

"The rooms were well maintained and the facilities were great. I would have to say the option for food for dinner was not great. Better options can be provided."

"Villa was excellent with pool, quiet location with supermarket near. Lovely walk to marina and local restaurants. Pool was only cleaned once in 2 weeks we were there. No offer of clean bed linen or towels in 2 weeks either, however, there was washing machine where we were able to wash them ourselves. Would recommend this Villa "

"The villa was tired lacking maintenance and could do with a deep clean. Paint flacking of the walls, Things like shower chrone rusty. Water was brown when first arrived so obviously hadnt been prepared for our visit start of season so would have thought they would have run water to clear pipes of dirty water. The bedding was damp bedroom smelt of damp. Mirrors in bathroom needing replaced corroded round edges. The poolside furniture was old tired and dirty. The pool itself had flacking paint and cracks. The pump switched itself off on timer which its supposed to but never came back on again until handy man came and switched it on but didnt bother fixing problem so it went off and stayed off so water wasnt filtered nor chemicals dispersed. The area is ok with superrmarket 5 mins walk away and many restraunts and cafes within 10 mins walk.. Shame about the Villa it could have been so lovely if it had just been maintained. The staff really nice except for 1 who When the power went off and the water went off we phoned the weekend emergency number that chap was very rude. But to be honest the management could have come in to help/ explain to tenants what was wrong and suport their staff. Unfortunatley our Villa was right next door to building site.. "

"Great hotel. Location overlooking cliffs towards Fuerteventura fantastic. Lots of places to sunbathe. Your room was so good!! Sadly we had to leave early due to family illness. Disappointed the hotel did not honour the remaining two nights - staff were very considerate."

"This was our first time in Lanzarote and of course this resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room lovely (junior suite) and always well tended to by those lovely house keepers. The pools looked good, we didn't use them (we're not pool people). So, we had a great holiday."

"Rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There's lots of wardrobe space and lots of hangers (something that always makes me happy). The area is exceptionally clean, lovely garden areas and very little noise. Theres lots of parking either in the car park or on the road. Some things that would help improve but did not spoil my experience.... There are very few cooking utensils, a chopping board, sharp knife, wine glasses and mugs would be nice. Softer towels would also be appreciated. We had to pay a deposit for the tv remote and there are only basic channels - being able to sign onto apps such as Netflix would be handy. There is a charge for the safe - why? The safe box is in the room already so I can't understand why we have to pay extra for that. Finally we were greated on evening arrival by a welcoming receptionist, however when we visited during the day they were not so helpful. Infact, i felt i was putting them out by asking questions. Overall, a nice hotel with no frills. I would happily return. It is a little way out of Playa Blanca but we enjoyed the lovely walk along the amazing coastline to the Marina. Theres also some nice bars about 5 mins walk away from the hotel. "
