"The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt that the property was secure. The rooms were clean - and I really appreciated their ‘green’ program, where you could request that towels / sheets not be changed daily. We didn’t have a car, but there appeared to be a nice parking area. It was close to fabulous restaurants, the promenade and the pier. I would definitely consider staying there again! "

"The inside of the rooms were very white, clean and esthetically pleasing. I'm not sure if I made a mistake and reserved a "handicap" room. The bathroom was large but had no countertop space so it was a little awkward using the built in drop down shower seat for our toiletries. The lobby is beautiful and looks old timey classic. The hallways/corridors could do with some updates (old dark carpeting) Check in was a breeze and the staff was very nice. The elevator was tiny and barely fit one person with the bell hop's luggage rack. We were coming in from Phoenix and were delayed by horrible traffic so we checked in quite late (10pm) and there was a woman passed out in the lobby chair by the only elevator. That was a little disconcerting. Parking fees were pretty steep. They only have valet and it was explained they have a private garage used for parking. It was mentioned in another review that you could look for a nearby garage that was cheaper but honestly I was so tired after driving that I didn't care to research. Come morning we realized this boutique hotel was situated on a beautiful corner within walking distance of the promenade full of shops. Lots of places to eat and drink. The evenings the shops came alive! I totally recommend and we will be back. Edit: it is not really walking distance close to the beach. We walked over a concrete bridge over the very busy highway. On the way back we rented bikes/scooters to help haul our beachware back to the hotel. "

"The location was very close to the water, an easy 5 minute walk. However, parking was very difficult to find, and you have to pay everywhere, it is not included with your room. The room itself was clean and smelled fresh when we arrived, and there were no unpleasant odors even after staying for three days. The shower and bathroom were quite small and a bit outdated, but overall, I don’t have any major complaints about the room. The main downside was the price point, it felt a bit high considering there’s no onsite parking and the rooms are somewhat outdated. There was also construction going on during our stay. It wasn’t disruptive, but it would have been nice to know about it prior to our arrival."

"Our stay at the Shore Hotel was fantastic, beautiful both during the day and at night, the welcome drinks were a great touch and set the tone right away, for a hotel of its size the on-site restaurant was excellent and I would highly recommend the breakfast, drinks by the pool were great and the live entertainment in the evenings added a really nice atmosphere, the pool hours were very accommodating which made it easy to enjoy without feeling rushed. We loved the room and overall décor, everything felt clean, modern, and well thought out, one tip would be to rent the bikes early in the morning as they go quickly, we were able to ride down to Venice Beach, lock up the bikes, and explore the Venice Canals, the contrast between the two areas is surprising. Venice Beach is a little shady and energetic while the canals are peaceful and quiet, the canals were definitely a highlight and well worth visiting. During our stay we also visited Griffith Observatory and did the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, both were great cant miss experiences. We walked along the Hollywood Walk of Fame and checked out the Chinese Theatre as well, that area had more of a Times Square vibe, very busy, loud, and a bit overwhelming especially if you’re traveling with kids. One thing to keep in mind, Uber rides to those attractions can get expensive from the hotel if you’re not driving, overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend the Shore Hotel for its location, atmosphere, and amenities."

"Breakfast was fresh and staff were kind. Clean amenities and close to room was a plus. My biggest complaint is there is NO FREE onsite parking and i was not made aware of this prior to booking. The only optionil is expensive insote valet and its inconvenience "

"I was not pleased with our stay. Hotel is overpriced, not enough towels, A/C did not work, an engineer was sent to fix the problem and was very rude, did not speak or when spoken too no response back! Hotel charged $300 for incidentals fees and parking in hotel structure was $67 a night RIDICULOUS! I do not recommend staying at this hotel! "
