The standard room is like a closet which was fine, there was no AC or heat we had the window open to let air move through the room, the property has done upgrades but they’re just falling apart. It a typical hotels for NYC we stay her often but the resort fee is out of control. $70 for two nights is a bit high.

The hotel overall was okay for a low-cost hotel. However, the only unfortunate situation was that the a/c wasn't working and while they attempted to fix it with maintenance, it still didn't work. They were unable to move us to another room and we pretty much stay like that for the entire week.

I normally don't leave reviews, good or bad, but this wasn't the best hotel stay I've had. Check in was delayed about 20 minutes due to housekeeping being behind schedule, the bed was small, the bathroom was also very small you couldn't fit more than two people in there, the bathroom had tiny knats or fruit flies around (I am not sure what exactly they were), the TV remote didn't work, and the smoke detector in the room was broken (not a good feeling god forbid there was a real emergency). The staff was nice but didn't seem to care much about these when I talked about just the smoke detector and TV remote at the front desk.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
I’ll start by saying that the location is perfect. We weren’t planning on spending time in the hotel other than the sleep and shower. But there were many problems with the hotel. They only had one working elevator. Only one working ice machine. After a late night getting back to the hotel I asked reception if they had any bottled water and was told “we don’t provide water for our guests “. The lighting in the room was so dim I needed to use my phone flashlight to see to put my makeup on. All of the large shampoo/conditioner/lotion bottles affixed to the wall were empty. They did have six small bottles of toiletries, however all of them were body wash. Cleanliness was ehh and after showering I was covered in lint from the towels. We did check for bed bugs and did not find any. The beds were comfortable. I would not reserve a room there again.
