No elevator, but staffs are very friendly and can help with the luggages (free). The rooms are randomly assigned. Rooms near the street are still a bit noisy.

Overall we had a good stay. Clean room and bathroom and staff were very friendly. Also great location! Right next to a subway and close to Chelsea Market and Little Island. My only concern was the AC was not working during our stay, not a huge deal as it was fall and we were able to use the fan provided.

Great older property but quaint. Subway entrance across street so very convenient. I enjoyed the little tea bar they had out. Staff was very kind and attentive to any requests I had. Great group of people. Would stay again

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Chelsea Pines. It was a truly unique experience, and the rooms had a nostalgic feel. The location was perfect for our visit, as everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The check-in staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. Quick disclaimer: there are no elevators! We had to take the stairs to our fourth-floor room, which we found amusing.

This location is very convenient to the subway ACE and L lines, Chelsea Market and very pleasant neighborhoods. The Inn is unique and that is appealing to me. My double bed room was small but this is NYC and it was perfectly adequate for our stay. The Inn doesn’t have an elevator so if steps are an issue, it’s worth asking for a lower floor. Our room had its own AC unit but the heat is regulated for the whole building. While this wasn’t an issue, it’s worth mentioning. The staff was excellent from check-in, front desk, room cleaning and a daily needs. The Chelsea Inn isn’t fancy which is why I liked it and I could stay here again.

No A/C the second night and then the fan they gave us as a to help didn’t work. We asked them about moving rooms or getting another fan and they had nothing available. We told them we’d be contacting management for a partial refund because the room was unbearably hot and they said someone would get back with us and never did.

I really appreciated finding this treasure in the heart of Chelsea. It was an older walk-up, but CHARMED up for sure. I stayed in the Tony Curtis "suite" -- movie posters galore -- it was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable; great water pressure in the shower, and the staff at the front desk was friendly and attentive. Appreciated my stay at Chelsea Pines in for sure -- and would book again if in the area for personal reasons!

Looks nothing like the pictures and the rates they change are totally unacceptable for the condition of this property. It feels like a motel. They put us in 506, the 5th floor with no elevator. Walls were dirty, the room had a bad smell, curtains were dingy, bed tiny, sunken in and made so much noise. They moved us to another room which was a small improvement but on the street with a lot of noise. Would not recommend

I stayed at this hotel recently and overall it was a good experience. The room and bathroom were clean, which I really appreciated, even if the room itself was a bit on the small side. One downside is the noise – the windows don’t block much, so you can hear traffic and street sounds at pretty much any hour of the day or night. On the positive side, the garden is really lovely and makes the place feel more welcoming. The location is great: the area feels safe, the subway is very close to the hotel, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Finally, I have to mention the staff – they were absolutely perfect, always available and really helpful.
