This is a reasonably-priced hotel showing a few signs of aging but with an excellent onsen (hot springs) with multiple baths, spacious sauna and a "walking pool". It is on the eastern side of Nara, requiring a long walk, a bus ride or (in our case) a drive to get to the main sights. The advantage is that you get a lot for the price. The onsen was excellent and we had very reasonably priced massages too. Nearby there are a few small restaurants; we went to an Izakaya that had a English menu and was fun. The bar has a happy hour that runs in the evening until the early closing time of 8:30ish---very reasonably priced drinks. We didn't take the breakfast or try the restaurant. Room was clean and well laid out, with a comfortable bed.
